I’d almost forgotten these photos, taken nearly 40 years ago. It was summer 1969, a family holiday in the south of England, and a day trip to Southampton. Another fine sunny day! There would be plenty of photo opportunities around the canal basin at Stourport, wouldn’t there….? Yes, there would – if it wasn’t for all the building work going on. Looks like a new waterside housing development – the waterside in question being a re-excavated former canal basin. Away from the building site, there were some nice reflections in the water – where the ice had melted, that is…
