Clee Mist

On 19 Jan 201619 Jan 2016 By geoffspagesIn Photography, Shropshire hills, WalksLeave a comment

A walk from Clee Hill village to Magpie Hill, returning via the three-forked pole and Hoar Edge. It’s misty to the south – it’s a beautiful day up here! The pictures can do the talking…

Island
Moon's up
Old quarry
The edge
Puddle
Whose mum uses Persil?
More puddles
Ruins and mist
Ancient and modern
Ice
Eight
Tree and pantomime horse
We've seen it all before
Three-forked pole and the moon
Hoar Edge
It's misty down there
Above all that
Walking the dog
Mist over the Teme
Ludlow church tower
A splash of colour
Poplars and pylons
The old railway
A last look as the light goes

Mist in the valley

On 09 Nov 2014 By geoffspagesIn Photography, Shropshire hills1 Comment

We were driving homewards, between Clun and Craven Arms – when suddenly (so it seemed) the fields by the river were full of mist, lit by the setting sun. Within minutes, the sun was behind the clouds – if we’d left five minutes later the scene would have been very different.

Mist in the trees
Catching the light
Sunset
A cold evening
Sun's gone
Road to nowhere
