Funny, I always think of the word viaduct being stone, like the ancient Roman ones – I guess it makes sense that they were replicated with modern material! Silly me!

I know what you mean – the word connotates a line of stone (or brick) arches for me too, but the South Esk viaduct is so named… Thanks for the feedback – hope you enjoy some more of my posts.
