What a comment on the age- Victorian Station buildings with canopies replaced by ugly steel bus stop shelters. When you see the added value the town of Malvern gets from it’s Great Malvern Station Church Stretton scored a monumental own goal. It must have made sense to somebody but it would be interesting to know how much the locals jumped up and down about it. I suppose Craven Arms and even Ludlow suffered the same fate. Maybe Great Malvern was listed and the others weren’t.

I don’t think it was especially attractive – but it was a real station…
