Interesting – it would appear that the May 2000 flood was higher than the 1947 flood here ( I assume this is the Boat Inn at Jackfield). However up in Shrewsbury I don’t think more recent floods have been as high as the 1947 flood.
Yes, it’s the Boat. Don’t know about the relative heights in 1947 and 2000 – I do know it was touch and go whether we would be able to cross the river and get home on that day in 2000.
